Do you know where this is?
In the last leg of Superchilled Race Around the World Peter von Amsterdam came first, correctly identifying Katz's Diner in New York City from my photo, and also the pastrami on rye (right) which was the meal we ate when there (it was huge - The Frenchman and I had to share) certainly a culinary must. Brenton from Aussielicious guessed Myers Food court (a shopping centre food hall in Sydney) so he's on a 'get out more' plan.
Your task is to identify the location of the photograph above correctly and most rapidly. Do you know where it is? Add your comment and let me know - first to correctly identify it wins, and the most creative guess also gets accolades.
The Race starts NOW.
update: 20thJune
New Clue: To get there - you need to head to the UK...

Ooh i know this one, it's the big potato in the southern highlands right!? ;)
Could you be more specific Brenton?
Some potatoes do look the same... ;o)
Antipodean cocoon: this unusual holiday house in the Australian bush is a lyrical yet highly practical response to site and climate - Ar House
Seen from afar, this extraordinary holiday house looks like a Zeppelin crash-landed in the Australian bush. Clinging to a precipitous slope, the curved capsule seems improbably fragile, like a giant insect cocoon lodged among the trees. Designed by the Melbourne-based architect/artist partnership of Michael Bellemo and Cat MacLeod for their own recreational use, the house is a surreal presence in the thickly wooded coastal landscape of south-west Victoria. Holiday homes abound in this area, but the blimp house is a highly personal, poetic and practical response to the challenges of terrain and environment. The steep, isolated site is prone to landslip and the climate is often cold and windy.
Maybe I'm totally wrong, but if I'm right you can start packing your bags for your upcoming holiday! ;o)
An excellent try Peter, although I don't see the steepness of the site? Nor windows which would kind of be useful for an Australian House - or any house for that matter... 10 points for effort...
Any other bidders?
Soon I'll have to start giving out clues... anyone want a clue?
Oh and Brenton. Are you hungry again?
So this is part of the food court at Myers?!
It seem's we've all got stuck in airport delays... NO it isn't myer's food court. It is however somewhere within the United Kingdom...
The Glasgow Science Centre is an extraordinary, shiny aardvark of a building, accompanied by a shell-like Imax cinema and a 400-foot revolving tower.
Architect Nicolas Grimshaw has used aluminium cladding for the exterior of the building.
The reflected light off the surrounding water makes an eye-watering sight.
Simon to the rescue, you're so right!
I could only think of the Armadillo building in Glasgow and Charles Rennie MacIntosh [whole different story], but forgot that that building is just part of the whole Science Centre.
Thanx Peter, took me for ages to find what and where it was. Alot of frequent google points used...lol
