It's been a problem all of its own

As particular as I am with grammar and spelling, I've always had problems geting my head around the whole it's or its word usage. So I googled it - and here's the site that I found that hopefully will ensure I don't make too many more mistakes... it seems I've made a tonne of them so far...

LOL. I finally figured this out in the last couple of years. I seem to have a good grasp of grammar now, but I have never actually understood the rules. I don't know what a direct object is; I don't know what an indirect object is; and I'm not too sure when to use "me" instead of "I" in some sentences.

Jessica: I hear ya! There are times when they all seem right and I don't know which one to use either.. sometimes I'll rewrite the whole sentence to avoid the uncertainty...

Thanks for the 'It's' link. I have been falling into that hole too frequently lately.
