We've had a rest this past week from racing around the world, Byron being the oasis of choice. But now the race is underway again. As previously, if you can be the first to correctly name the location of the photograph above from our travels, then you win first place. It wouldn't be Como would it? As in the town on Lake Como? It's a guess only...I've never been there.
Monty, I think you're close, it's in Europe [that was the easy part] but the most important part of Como is missing in this photo... the cupola of the Romanesque Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore.
My first guess would be prague, it reminds me of the famous bell tower from a distance, though Im thinking it probably isnt.....
Simon, Prague is on the banks of the river Danube, not on a lake.
I think that it is Gruz, the port area of the city of Dubrovnik...Terry
Let me change my last guess...it is more likely Split (Splitsko-Dalmatinskaplitsko), Croatia. Terry
Yes, geography was never my strong suit...lol On looking again, and a little research, the only place I can come up with that suits, would be Trogir in Croatia.........
Seems I was only half right. It is Croatia, but it is not Trogir, it is in fact a place called Split. The tower at the centre which was confusing me some is the Sv.duje Cathedral........
